Devin Troy Strother (1986, West Covina) graduated with a bachelor at the Art Center College of Design of Pasadena in 2009. Strother had solo exhibitions at (selected): Malborough Contemporary (New York), Richard Heller Gallery (Santa Monica), Shoot The Lobster (Los Angeles), Over The Influence (Hong Kong), V1 Gallery (Copenhagen) and Ruttkowski;68 (Cologne) and group shows at (among others): Harlem Studio Museum, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Torrance Art Museum, Contemporary Art Museum of Raleight, Pivot Art Culture Centre (Seattle), Asya Geisberg (New York), The Hole (New York), Guerrero Gallery (San Francisco), Hollis Taggart (New York), 0—0 LA (Los Angeles), Library Street Collective (Detroit), HVW8 Gallery (Los Angeles) and is in the permanent collection of institutions as The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Los Angeles, The Los Angeles Museum of Art, The Santa Barbara Museum of Art, The Studio Museum and Torrance Art Museum. Strother is also the co—founder of the publishing company Coloured Published with which he published hundreds of items between books, fanzines, pamphlets, clothing and objects since 2014. Devin Troy Strother lives and works in Los Angeles.
