Lula Broglio

  • The paintings by Lula Broglio (b.1993, Imperia) are poetry and myth translated to visual form. Mixing an interest for the natural realm, and a process which blends to the traditional painting materials atypical objects and techniques, her works feel like exact transpositions of instants. They are moments in time and space which feel unbounded to the physical reality, but capable to transcend it including feelings, thoughts, and spirits. Broglio received her MA and BA in Painting from the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin respectively in 2018 and 2015, and she was exhibited at Salotto Studio (Milan, 2023), GOBEN X GU11 (Cologne, 2023), Castello di Rivoli (Turin, 2023), Fondazione Pino Pascali (Polignano a mare, 2022), Amanita (S’chanf, 2022), Palazzina (Basel, 2021), Fondazione Smart (Rome, 2021), and Basis (Frankfurt, 2018) among others. Broglio lives and works in Sordevolo, Biella, Italy.
