Mattia Pajè’s (b.1991, Melzo) practice is driven by a desire to broaden the field of possibility through his exploration of different materials, as much as an extensive and diverse artistic approach that encompasses sculpture, performance, installation and multimedia works. Eclectic and almost chameleon-like, he takes inspiration from and becomes a part of the very space that he is in, listens attentively to its sounds and makes the space his own through his often site-specific works. Pajè holds an MA in Painting (2016) and a BA in Visual Art (2014) from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, and he was exhibited at Cosmos CAC (Lisbon, 2023), Alchemilla+, (Bologna, 2022), Fondazione del Monte (Bologna, 2021), IIC Paris (Paris, 2021), OWO space (Milan, 2020) Fondazione Smart – Polo Per L’arte (Rome, 2019), Suburbia Contemporary Art (Granada, 2018), and Piramidon Centre d’Arte Contemporani (Barcelona, 2017) among others. Pajè lives and works in Bologna, Italy.
